We are taken aback by the story in the Argus Newspaper where the Premier is
reported to have misled the house, in circumstances where the report from the
Ad-hoc Committee has not yet been presented to the Premier, as undertaken by
the speaker, or tabled in the house.
This confirms our initial suspicions that the entire process culminating in
the Ad-hoc Committee's investigation resulted from a political agenda.
It furthermore vindicates our initial doubt of the bona fides of members of
the committee on the grounds of bias. It is for this reason that we launched an
application for the recusal of certain members of the committee.
In this regard, the Premier reserves all his rights.
