The Premier of the Western Cape, Ebrahim Rasool, together with MECs, Tasneem
Essop, Lynne Brown and Marius Fransman, will give a report back on the
ground-breaking visit to India, Dubai, Saudi Arabia and Turkey.

Prior to his departure, the Premier said, "This visit is one of the most
important undertaken at Provincial Government level, and comes at a moment when
the Western Cape is poised for its greatest growth. The visit is unashamedly
about harnessing new sources of investment capital to ensure the success of our
Accelerated and Shared Growth Initiative for South Africa (AsgiSA) programme
and to kick-start the Provincial Growth and Development Strategy (PGDS)." This
was the first visit to India and Saudi Arabia by the Western Cape Premier.
