The Premier, Ebrahim Rasool, together with Congress of South African Trade
Unions (Cosatu) spear heading the "Buy Local" Proudly South African campaign.
This campaign is calling consumers in the province to buy locally produced
goods.

The campaign is intended to also promote consumer solidarity towards the
retention of jobs of those people working in industries threatened by cheaper
imported goods that have an impact on local production levels.
