Time has come once more for our matriculants to rip where they sowed. It is
time for them to taste and enjoy the fruits of hard work and dedication they
put throughout the academic year. I have great confidence that all of them will
rise above any possible challenges that may arise in a quest to make us
proud.
All learners who will be sitting for this final examination should therefore
have a sense of self-motivation to ensure that they write without fear or
panic. I also want to thank our educators across the province for their work in
building the future leadership of our nation. Future leaders will come from
those who understand that youth is a wonderful time of life and it can only be
enjoyed through learning from one's teachers and one's parents including all
the adults in the community.
Our learners across the province are part of the rest in the country that
face a seemingly tough but exciting challenge of their lives. The North West
provincial government wishes all learners well in this and other exams they are
sitting for this year. We have confidence in you, for we know how much
sacrifice your educators made to prepare you for this and future
challenges.
Do your best, and if your best is not good enough this time around, try and
try again. Success awaits those who seek it. I trust that you will succeed and
be able to pursue your studies next year. You must try by all means to ensure
that you succeed in order to make meaningful contribution in the near future
towards reducing the high levels of skills shortage in critical economic
sectors.
I said you are the future of this country because I know that you have the
potential to respond to this national call. I trust that your hard work and
dedication will help us improve from last year's results and produce more
passes in subjects such as maths and science. Those who may not succeed should
not be discouraged but should gather strength to even consolidate on their
knowledge so far to ensure that they prosper next year.
