The Premier of North West Edna Molewa will on Friday, 10 February 2006,
deliver her maiden State of the Province Address during the official opening of
the North West Provincial Legislature.
This follows the delivery of the State of the Nation Address by President
Thabo Mbeki on 3 February 2006.
Premier Molewa will articulate progress and achievements made during the
year 2005 and outline a plan of action with regard to deliverables for the year
2006. This is in line with Government's commitment to ensure a better life for
all.
The address will further focus at ways of accelerating the effective
implementation of the provincial growth and development strategy and
strengthening government's capacity to speed up the provision of services and
infrastructure.
In an attempt to keep the public informed about the event, a live broadcast
on Motsweding FM and various community radio stations i.e. Moretele, Mafisa,
Vaaltar and Letlhabile has been arranged. Premier Molewa is scheduled to
address the province at 10h00.
The community is urged to tune in and listen to the address so that they are
updated on the developments in the Province.
Almost all stakeholders in the province and potential foreign investors will
attend the event on Friday.
