Members of the media are invited to attend the Employee Wellness Day at the
Office of the Premier as follows:

Premier Edna Molewa is expected to deliver a keynote address.
As part of the programme, there will be an exciting game of football between
Government communicators and the North West media team. The game is expected to
start at 16h30.

Background
Focused, free and healthy employees always contribute positively at work
thus ensuring that the objectives of their organisations are optimally met.
However, there should be a conducive and hospitable environment for employees
at the workplace to feel at home.
Now it is important that all employees have a spirit of self-motivation in
order to make a fulfilling contribution to the Office of the Premier. Most
importantly, their ability to work as a collective to ensure that the North
West Provincial Government delivers of the promises made to the people should
not be undermined.
They should understand that while each employee has singular tasks as their
job descriptions in the Office of the Premier, it is through their joint
efforts that government delivers services to the people. Teambuilding therefore
becomes fundamental to ascertain that all of them meet the common objectives
for which they work, in a quest to advance the strategic objectives of the
provincial government.
As part of teambuilding, recreation is one pillar with potential to bring
all of us together, working as a winning team to achieve excellent results at
the end of each game. Employees in the Office of the Premier will therefore
embark on recreational games, which will consolidate their strength to work
together, pull each other where necessary for all to move forward to
success.
In this regard, the Directorate: Employee Health and Wellness has lined up
many teambuilding activities employees at the Mmabatho Stadium on this day. All
employees have been urged to come and be part of this recreational exercise
which has a direct impact on our daily office work.
