Defence to hold infantry memorial service, 25 Jan

The South African Army Infantry Formation and the Infantry Association will
be presenting the annual infantry memorial service at Fort Klapperkop on
Sunday, 25 January 2009 at 10h00.

This will also be 55th anniversary of the Infantry Corps established in
1954. Tshwane Regiment and Regiment Noord Transvaal, both Reserve Regiments,
will provide the guards and sentries for the service.

Several military veteran associations and families/friends of fallen
infanteers will be laying wreaths or planting crosses in honour of all fallen
infanteers.

Families and friends of infanteers who have lost their lives are invited to
lay a wreath at the service.

Note: Military correspondents and photographers are invited to attend the
service. Guests are requested to be seated at 09h45. Fort Klapperkop can be
reached by taking Johan Rissik Drive out of Nelson Mandela Drive, Pretoria.
