service delivery in the first quarter

The Department of Local Government and Housing invites all media
institutions to attend a breakfast quarterly media briefing. This is an on
going exercise where department MEC interacts with the members of the media on
matters of service delivery in the first quarter.
The MEC is expected to discuss progress made in rolling out of amongst
others, the provision of basic services, sanitation, capacity building at local
and district municipalities, payment of municipal services and debt collection
and service delivery on farms. The MEC will also touch on the publishing of the
Ingoma Bill and Regulations for the elections of the 40% of members of
Traditional Councils. She will also reflect on progress made in housing
delivery.
The media will be given an opportunity to ask questions for clarity in a
session planned as follows:
