Christian Martin to the Department of Social Development

Eastern Cape Public Works MEC Christian Martin will deliver the keynote
address at the handing over ceremony of the Humansdorp Multi-Purpose Centre
scheduled for Friday, 3 April at 10h00.
The centre is a response by the Department of Public Works to the growing
needs of the people of Humansdorp, enabling the local population to have direct
access to the services of the Department of Social Development.
The architecture of the centre is a response to promoting effective service
delivery in an uplifting and energising environment. This has been achieved
through the abundance of natural light and blue skies that one experiences as
one enters the centresâ circular reception area. The two administration blocks
as well as a third training block that complete the centre, are all linked by
outside courtyards and walkways that have been landscaped with indigenous
vegetation. The design of the centre aims at achieving a suitable, dignified
and contemporary solution to new Government buildings in present day South
Africa.
