B van Wyk to open new clinics, 5 Feb

Re-opening of new clinics

2 February 2009

The Northern Cape Provincial MEC of Health, Mr JF van Wyk, cordially invites
you to the official opening of two new clinics in the province. These clinics
are situated in De Aar in the Emthanjeni Local Municipality and Phillipstown
which is part of the Renosterberg Local Municipality. These two municipalities
reside in the Pixley-Ke-Seme District of the Northern Cape.

These new clinics will contribute greatly towards the vision of the Northern
Cape Department of Health which entail: “Health service excellence for all”.
These two clinics will replace the old Nonzwakazi and Phillipstown clinics. The
old clinics were both not contributing to the delivery of health services due
to structural problems and poor maintenance. The new facilities are a major
improvement with the regard to space and providing adequate infrastructure.

Other dignitaries expected to accompany the MEC of Health are Members of the
Provincial Executive Council, Executive Mayor of the Pixley-Ke-Seme District
Municipality, Mayors of the Emthanjeni and Renosterberg Municipalities
respectively.
