The Minister of Minerals and Energy, Ms Buyelwa Sonjica invites all media to
attend the Renewable Energy Summit on 19 to 20 March 2009. The Summit is aimed
at reviewing progress made on the implementation of the 2003 White Paper on
Renewable Energy.
The Renewable Energy Policy Paper states that there will be mid-term
evaluation after five years, to see if the targets, objectives and deliverables
are being achieved. The Summit will be attended by delegates from three spheres
of government, energy sector, financial sector, civil society as well as
labour.
