Sustainable Electoral Democracy Development in Higher Education

The Electoral Commission of South Africa (IEC) and the Department of
Education invite you to the opening plenary of the Student Representative
Councils Colloquium on Enhancing Sustainable Electoral Democracy Development in
Higher Education, which will take place from 1 to 4 April 2007 at the Kopanong
Conference Centre near Benoni in Gauteng.
The Colloquium will be officially opened by Ms Baleka Mbete, Speaker of
Parliament on Sunday, 1 April 2007 at 17h00. The opening plenary will also be
addressed by Adv Pansy Tlakula, Chief Electoral Officer of the IEC, Dr Molapo
Qhobela, Deputy Director-General of Higher Education in the Department of
Education and Prof Shadrack Gutto, Director of the Centre for African
Renaissance Studies.
