Sebokeng Hospital

To improve service delivery, Gauteng health MEC Brian Hlongwa will this
morning open a new outpatient, accident and emergency units at Sebokeng
hospital which are equipped with state of the art machinery.
Amongst other things, the new accident and emergency unit has additional
consulting rooms, gynaecological consulting rooms, bigger resuscitation room
and three rooms exclusively for victims of sexual assault.
These additions will benefit approximately 5 000 patients who are seen at
the accident and emergency unit per month. Ten percent of these patients
require resuscitation and emergency operations.
Sebokeng hospital was one of the hospitals identified for revitalisation.
The new outpatient department, accident and emergency unit were completed and
handed over to the department in February 2009.
