Deputy Minister Rejoice Mabudafhasi embarks on the Clean Fires Campaign – “Basa Njengo Magogo”

The Deputy Minister of Water and Environmental Affairs, Ms Rejoice Mabudafhasi, will embark on the Clean Fires Campaign – “Basa njengo Magogo”.

The campaign will take place in Ratanda, Heidelberg on Monday, 14 June 2010. The Department of Environmental Affairs has adopted “Basa njengo Magogo” (BnM) model as part of the Clean Fires Campaign.

The theme of this campaign is "Mollo o Hlwekileng – for Better Environment, Improved Health and Safety" Basa njengo Magogo or make fire like the granny – is a 'top-down' model of making coal fire discovered by Granny Maria “Nobelungu” Mashinini of eMbalenhle, Secunda.
