Webinar on Health sector anti-corruption forum

The Special Investigating Unit (SIU) in partnership with Corruption Watch, Health Funders Association, The Daily Maverick and The Bhekisisa Centre for Health Journalism will host webinar on Health Sector Anti-Corruption Forum (HSACF).

The Webinar aims at creating public awareness and improve public education on issues relating to corruption within the public and private health sectors.

The webinar will also profile the current activities of the HSACF, and its members in attempting to combat corruption and fraud in the health sector.

The HSACF was officially launched by President Ramaphosa on 01 October 2019, and it comprises of various stakeholders such as civil society, law enforcement agencies, health sector regulators, government departments and private sector.

The main purpose of the HSACF is to collaborate in the fight against corruption, identify areas of co-operation to enhance prevention, detection and prosecution of corruption in the Health Sector. 

The Webinar will be moderated by Mark Heywood from Maverick Citizen, and the panel will be comprising of the following speakers:

  • Adv. Andy Mothibi – Special Investigating Unit
  • Lerato Mosiah – Health Funders Association
  • Karam Singh – Corruption Watch
