Deputy Minister Mashego Dlamini together with Eastern Cape Premier to handover equipment to Special Needs Day Care Centre 18 September 2018
The Deputy Minister of Rural Development and Land Reform Candith Mashego-Dlamini together with the Eastern Cape Premier Phumulo Masualle, will hand-over a much needed structure to accommodate learners with special needs at the Emadlelweni Special Day Care Centre in Indwe outside Queenstown. The Emadlelweni Special Day Care Centre started operating in 2008 in the small rural town of Indwe, under the Emalahleni Local Municipality in the Chris Hani District Municipality. This Special Day Care Centre assists children between the ages of 1 to 18 as well as disabled youth. This centre is designed to accommodate children with special needs and the structure will be used as part of the educational facilities. The Department of Rural Development and Land Reform has invested R 558 497.40 in purchasing this consumable structure, as part of a collaborative approach by various government stakeholders including the Office of the Premier in the Eastern Cape.
