MEC Weziwe Tikana-Gxothiwe launches school and community safety programme, 15 Mar

Roll-out of school and community safety massive programme

MEC Weziwe Tikana-Gxothiwe for the Department of Safety and Liaison together with MEC Fundile Gade for the Department of Education will roll-out a massive programme of “School and Community Safety” for the rural areas of Queenstown.

Mitford, Rocklands, Tendergate And Spring Grove are among the areas hard hit by the spate of crime such as substance abuse, rape, murders and Gender-Based Violence and Femicide.

The programme will be graced by the presence of the political leadership of Chris Hani District and Enoch Mgijima Local Municipalities respectively, Provincial Commissioner Lieutenant-General Liziwe Ntshinga as well as the Chairperson of the Moral Regeneration Movement Chief Ngangomhlaba Matanzima, and many more.  

NB. The members of the media fraternity are hereby invited.
