Eastern Cape Safety and Liaison rolls out crime prevention programme, 14 Mar

Roll-out of a huge crime prevention programme at Ngangelizwe Township in Umthatha

The Department of Safety and Liaison, will in partnership with the social cluster departments, roll-out a massive programme in response to a myriad of criminal activities at Ngangelizwe Township.

The aim of the programme is to educate young people about crime related activities, so that they could in turn refrain from embarking on them. The programme will mainly focus on a wide range of aspects, among others are the following:

School Safety; Circumcision; Bullysm and Domestic Violence; Sexual assault & rape; Types of drugs; Effects of Drugs;Tembelitsha Rehab; Gambling free zones; Rehabilitated ex-convict and Children’s Rights.   
                                                                         
The Acting Head of the Department of Safety and Liaison, Mr Zukile Kani, South African Police Service, Department of Social Development, Correctional Services, and many more, will grace the programme with their presence.

Members of the Media Fraternity are hereby invited to cover the programme.
