Road Traffic Management Corporation on suspects arrested in Mpumalanga

Five suspects including a medical doctor together with three driving licence examiners and a data capture have been arrested in a joint corruption burst operation between South African Police Services and the National Traffic Anti-Corruption Unit from the RTMC in Mpumalanga. 

The arrests are linked to fraudulent issuing of a driving licence to the Kwa-Zulu Natal magistrate who appeared in court last week Friday.

Bonginkosi Mtshali has since appeared in court and he’s been released on R2000 bail. They will face charges relating to conspiracy to commit fraud and defeating the ends of justice. 

The first court appearance for the arrested five in Mpumalanga will be tomorrow, Thursday; 23 April 2021 at the Eerstehoek magistrate court.

Magistrate Mtshali’s case has been transferred to Mpumalanga, where he will join the other five accused in this matter.
