Public Works awards bursaries to deserving 2018 matriculants

The Department of Public Works cordially invites you to its 6th Annual Bursary awards ceremony for 40 deserving 2018 Matriculants who are interested in studying for careers in the built and construction industry.

The bursaries form part of the Department’s mandate to transform the built industry and invest in young people studying towards careers in the built industry. They are also part of the built environment skills pipeline strategy adopted by the DPW which is aimed at addressing the built environment skills shortages.

On the day, Public Works Minister Thulas Nxesi will award the bursaries worth R130 000 per recipient, per year to the successful grade 12 learners who are mostly from rural, township and disadvantaged schools throughout the country.
