The Public Service Commission (PSC) is shocked and saddened by the passing of Public Service and Administration Honourable Minister Collins Chabane after a tragic car accident on Sunday, 15 March 2015.
The PSC interacted with Minister Chabane, firstly when he was MEC for Economic Development in Limpopo and when he was Minister for Performance, Monitoring and Evaluation as well as Minister for Public Service and Administration. He played a key role in the transformation of the South African Public Service and his vision of promoting good governance in the Public Service will be missed.
“In memory of the late Minister Chabane, the PSC will continue to contribute towards building a capable and developmental public service,” said Deputy Chairperson of the PSC, Adv. Richard Sizani.
