KwaZulu-Natal Premier Sihle Zikalala will today, 11 March 2020, convene a special meeting on the Coronavirus and HIV/Aids situation in the province.
The meeting will involve members of the Provincial Aids Council, NGOs and civil society groups.
The occasion will also be used to brief the media on the new approach by the province to mitigate local to local transmission of the Covid-19 virus through various preventative awareness campaigns.
At least six cases of Coronavirus have been confirmed in the province and one in Gauteng.
The meeting will take place at Grey's Hospital in Pietermaritzburg, one of the sites identified to deal with Coronaviru cases. The meeting is scheduled to start at 12h00.
