Premier Mokgoro to meet with the Minerals Council in Bojanala, visit Hotspots and officially open Field Hospital
North West Premier Prof Tebogo Job Mokgoro, and the MEC for Health Madoda Sambatha will tomorrow meet with the Minerals Council to discuss on how to work together to curb the rapid increase of COVID-19 infections in the North West Province, specifically in the mining sector and areas in which there are mining activities.
Thereafter, the Premier and the MEC for Health as well as other Members of the Executive Council, District Mayors, MMCs for Health and other key role players will come together to officially open a 200-bed field hospital.
The field hospital was built amid increasing cases of the coronavirus in the Province particularly in the Rustenburg Sub-District. Rustenburg alone has more than 50% of the 3931 confirmed coronavirus cases in the Province.
The Premier will also visit hotspots in the area to assess the measures that are in place for prevention and encourage responsible social behavior.
