Arts and Culture committee extends condolences to Mtukudzi family

The Portfolio Committee on Arts and Culture extends its heartfelt condolences to the family, friends and colleagues of the African music icon, Oliver Mtukudzi.

Committee Chairperson, Ms Xoliswa Tom, said Mr Mtukudzi’s music not only defied geographical borders, but united people across the globe. Mr Mtukudzi was not only a musician but a human rights activist whose life and work should be celebrated.

The music legend passed away on Wednesday, 23 January 2018, at the Avenues Clinic in Harare, Zimbabwe.
