National Youth Development Agency sends best wishes to class of 2019

NYDA wishes matric class of 2019 best of luck

The National Youth Development Agency (NYDA) wishes all learners who will be writing the 2019 National Senior Certificate (Matric) best of luck. Nearly 800 000 learners will sit for the final examinations across South Africa.

We are confident that our Back to School Campaign and NYDA Goes Rural Programme which targeted schools in rural areas providing necessary interventions and study materials will aid efforts by various stakeholders to increase our national pass rate to over 80%.

Executive Chairperson of the NYDA, Mr Sifiso Mtsweni has expressed confidence in the matric class of 2019 after a successful programme held in Limpopo last week wherein five schools in the Blouberg Local Municipality received study guides from the NYDA ahead of the final examinations. During the event learners also had the opportunity to apply for NSFAS on-site. The continued partnership between the NYDA and NSFAS; and Solomon Kalushi Mahlangu Scholarship Fund (SKMSF) will serve as a great motivation and guarantor to learners to access higher education institutions.

NYDA begun these interventions in various provinces such as the Western Cape, Eastern Cape and Northern Cape.

“Learners should prepare accordingly for the last hurdle towards post schooling life and be ready for a better future. We encourage learners to put their best foot forward and focus on their examinations” said Mtsweni.
