Moral Regeneration School Outreach campaign continues
Moal Regeneration School Outreach campaign continues this week in Dr Kenneth Kaunda and Bojanala Platinum District, with a sharp focus on gangsterism and acts of violence, which is a problem in some of the schools in these districts, particularly in Matlosana Local Municipality.
North West Office of the Premier in collaboration with the Department of Education are hosting the Moral Regeneration School Outreach campaign as an intervention measure in schools to address ongoing social ills which are seriously affecting teaching and learning.
Issues such as learner to learner bullying, learner to teacher attacks, drug and alcohol abuse, vandalism of property as well as effects of poverty, lack of parental support and child headed households are amongst issues that will be discussed.
Learners from affected schools in the two districts, will participate in the events. Members of the media are invited to attend and cover the events which are scheduled as follows:
