Gauteng MEC for Public Transport and Roads Infrastructure, MEC Jacob Mamabolo, is set to announce the winner of the #MyGautrain competition.
Gautrain ran the #MyGautrain competition between 27 September until 12 October 2019 during which individuals could submit names of what they think best fits a Gautrain commuter.
Almost 1,000 entries were received via Gautrain’s social media.
From these entries, interesting names such as Mashesha, Gaurider, Speedster, Fast Feet and GauPal were proposed.
The competition was held as part of the October Transport Month, which serves to highlight the benefits of using public transport and promoting service delivery milestones in the provision of integrated infrastructure and modern public transport system.
