Mpumalanga learners to receive credentials in the field of responsible tourism practices

Deputy Minister of Tourism, Mr Fish Mahlalela, will officiate the certification ceremony of Mpumalanga learners who successfully completed the Department’s Tourism Resource Efficiency Training Programme.

Initiated in 2017, the Tourism Resource Efficiency Training initiative is funded by the Green Tourism Incentive Programme, and forms part of the greater NTSS objective to promote responsible tourism practices in the sector.

It is envisioned that the Tourism Resource Efficiency trainees will contribute to inculcating a culture of responsible tourism practices, which will lead to increased awareness and pro-active action to reduce the industry’s carbon footprint.
