Ministry of Communications leads an Inter-Ministerial Cyber-Security and Business Engagement Outreach Programme

Minister Stella Ndabeni-Abrahams and Deputy Minister Pinky Kekana will, on 30 November 2018, lead an Inter-Ministerial Community Engagement programme in Mamelodi and Eersterust.

The Ministry of Communications will be accompanied by Deputy Ministers of Trade and Industry, Small Business and Economic Development. Security of the digital sector is imperative, as it can affect the national strategic interests and communities in our society. In order to guarantee the optimal utilisation of ICT, addressing the issue of cybersecurity is key, especially with the advent of Big Data and the Internet of Things (IoT) technology.

The Business engagement session will, therefore, provide an opportunity for the various Ministries in the economic cluster to interact with young filmmakers from the Leaders In Motion Academy.

Leaders in Motion Academy is an academy for the township, by the township where storytellers and creatives are nurtured to give voice to their narratives through films. The Academy offers a well-crafted, accredited, fully funded theoretical and practical film course targeted at aspiring township filmmakers.
