Budget speech in Parliament 

The budget speech will be delivered in the National Assembly Chamber on Wednesday, 26 February 2020 at 14h00.

Members of the media, who are not part of the lock-up, wishing to cover the budget speech are required to send their details to Nolizwi Magwagwa on nmagwagwa@parliament.gov.za / 021 403 2465 / 081 716 5824 or Masego Dlula on mdlula@parliament.gov.za / 021 403 8141 / 081 715 9398 by Friday, 21 February 2020 8 at 12 noon.

Details required are: Full name, ID/passport number, name of media organisation, designation (writer, photographer, for example), telephone number, and cell phone number.

Documentation related to the budget speech will be available on the National Treasury website (www.treasury.gov.za) when the Minister starts his address to Parliament, at around 14.00.

The Minister’s speech will also be available on the Parliament website (www.parliament.gov.za).

The speech will be broadcast live on Parliament’s DSTV Channel 408, live streaming on Parliament’s website and will also be covered live by major television and radio stations.

Media wishing to obtain live feeds or to broadcast from the Parliamentary precinct should also provide: Make of vehicle(s), registration number(s), number(s) of vehicles, other equipment and time of arrival.
