Minister Stella Ndabeni-Abrahams officially opens Digital College in Lenyenye Village, 15 Apr

Minister of Communications and Digital Technology Stella Ndabeni-Abrahams will on Thursday 15th April 2021 officially open a digital college called Vexospark Tzaneen Digital College in Lenyenye Village, in the Greater Tzaneen Local Municipality. 

This initiative, a public and private partnership, aims to take digital technology to rural communities in order to begin closing the digital gender divide. This college will offer unique courses for everyone including children from as young as four years. The courses include, among others:

  • Robotics and Coding – for learners from Pre-school to Grade 9
  • Design Thinking – for learners from Grade 5 to Grade 12
  • Digital Library – for all school learners
  • SheMeansBusiness Programme – this is a digital marketing programme for businesswomen around Limpopo, which teaches about principles of marketing their businesses.
  • She Will Connect Programme – this is programme aims to teach girls and women about Entrepreneurial Skills, online safety, Computer Basic Skills and website design.
