Minister Stella Ndabeni-Abrahams joins relief efforts for flood victims in Ngqeleni, Eastern Cape
As the winter season approaches, Communications Minister, Stella Ndabeni-Abrahams will, on Monday, 6 May 2019 conduct an outreach programme in Ngqeleni, Nyandeni Local Municipality and hand over blankets to flood victims in the area.
Selected residents will also receive television sets.
In April 2019, torrential rains flooded areas in the OR Tambo and Alfred Nzo districts, devastating the homes of hundreds of residents and displacing others.
Prior to this programme, Minister Ndabeni-Abrahams will join Sports and Recreation Minister, Ms Tokozile Xasa on a visit to flood victims in Port St. Johns where the Ministers will deliver a cheque of one hundred thousand (R100 000,00), blankets, baby diapers and television sets.
