Minister Mchunu to conduct site inspection on the Giyani Bulk Water Project and provide update to residents of Greater Giyani Local Municipality
In his continuous efforts to ensure that there is consistent and reliable water supply in Giyani and surrounding villages, Water and Sanitation Minister, Mr Senzo Mchunu will conduct site inspection on the Giyani Bulk Water Project on Sunday, 11 December 2022.
Minister Mchunu will inspect several sites of the bulk water project in order to assess progress made to alleviate water scarcity challenges in the area, and afterwards lead a community engagement in Giyani to provide residents with an update on the progress made since the last visit in October.
The Giyani Bulk Water Project was initiated in 2014 to address severe water challenges in the Greater Giyani Local Municipality through the transfer of water from Nandoni Dam to augment Nsami & Middle Letaba water systems.
