The Minister of Science and Technology, Naledi Pandor, has added her voice to that of millions of South Africans who have been sending messages of condolence to the Chabane family, friends and colleagues, following the sudden and untimely death of the Minister of Public Service and Administration, Collins Chabane, in a car accident yesterday.
Minister Pandor also sends her condolences to the families of the two police officers, who also perished in this tragic accident.
Regarding Minister Chabane, Minister Pandor said, "I am deeply saddened by this news, as I knew Comrade Chabane very well; he has been my colleague in Cabinet since 2009. My prayers are with his wife, the rest of family, relatives, friends and colleagues, during this difficult time in our country's young democracy."
