Minister Mkhize leads COGTA team to Portfolio Committee for discussion on Annual Reports
The Minister of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs, Dr Zweli Mkhize, will lead his Departments and entity tomorrow (11 October) when they appear before the the COGTA Portfolio Committee to discuss 2017/2018 annual reports.
The Minister will be accompanied by Deputy Minister Obed Bapela.
The reports that will be under the microscope are that of the Department of Traditional Affairs and the Municipal Infrastructure Support Agent. The Department of Cooperative Governance will submit its annual report by the end of November to Parliament due to the unavoidable actions that still had to be performed related to the Community Work Programme (CWP) assets, before the final adjustment and submission of the 2017/18 Annual Financial Statements.
The 2017/18 audit process was completed at the end of September 2018 and it is envisaged that the Department will be able to table the signed off 2017/18 Annual Report by the end of November 2018.
