The Minister of Transport, Mr. Fikile Mbalula commends the South African taxi industry’s response to the Corona virus outbreak.
Following the President’s announcement last week and the Minister’s plea for the transport sector to work together with government various taxi industry unions led sanitization drives on taxis and taxi ranks across South Africa.
A move welcomed by government and appreciated by the Minister who on Friday last week met with some of the taxi industry stakeholders.
The Minister will tomorrow join these ongoing initiatives to raise awareness about hygiene on public transport.
