Minister Dlodlo to visit Lebombo border post and the community of Komatipoort on an Imbizo

The Minister for the Public Service and Administration, Ms. Ayanda Dlodlo will conduct a visit to the Lebombo border post to assess the state of the facility and its readiness to manage emigration services during the demanding festive season.

The Minister is expected to be joined by the Premier of Mpumalanga, Ms. Refilwe Mtshweni. They will meet with border management authorities to seek to understand the challenges at the border post and also to hear about service delivery improvement plans and strategies that will be implemented to better service the millions of people that cross the border between South Africa and Mozambique each year.

The Minister will also host a Service Delivery Imbizo with the community of KaMaqhekeza in the border town of Komatipoort. The Imbizo will serve as a strategic engagement platform to ensure sustainable solutions to some of the challenges facing the community, to resolve service delivery bottlenecks and to also strengthen cooperation with social partners to improve service delivery.
