Minister Dlodlo to meet the community of Kwa-Nokuthula in Plattenberg Bay, on a citizen engagement.

Minister for the Public Service and Administration, Ms Ayanda Dlodlo will be heading to Plattenberg Bay in the Bitou Local Municipality, Western Cape on Monday, 27 August 2018, to interact with its local residents as part of her citizen engagement programme.

The Minister’s visit is part of government programme aimed at deepening democracy and public participation in the decision-making processes, and serves as a strategic vehicle that enables government to intermingle with citizens in its quest to improve provision of services.

The community imbizo will provide the Minister, joined by the local government and other stakeholders, a valuable opportunity to listen to day- to- day challenges faced by residents so as to find ways to improve government services, and further update the community on government programmes that are currently underway aimed at improving the lives of citizens.

The Minister is expected to visit several service delivery points and interact with the public servants on site to determine the state of service delivery and what should be done to enable them to do their work better, faster and smarter in line with the ethos of Batho Pele.

Members of the community will also have the opportunity to receive services and engage with officials from service delivery departments that will be available on the day of the event.
