Minister Bheki Cele addresses National Joint Operational Intelligence Structures ahead of the State of the Nation Address, 13 Feb

Minister of Police to address SONA deployment parade

The Minister of Police, General Bheki Cele, the Deputy Minister of Police, Mr Cassel Mathale, the National Commissioner of Police, General Khehla John Sitole and senior management of the South African Police Service (SAPS) will on Thursday, 13 February 2020 address the National Joint Operational Intelligence Structures (Natjoints) ahead of their deployment for the State of the Nation Address (SONA).

The Natjoints comprises of various government departments, including the South African Police Service (SAPS) for ensuring the safety and security of all major events throughout the country.

The parade will consist of all law enforcement agencies including the SAPS, National and Provincial Traffic Management and the City of Cape Town Metro Police Department.

All law enforcement agencies securing this event are to execute their duties according to their Constitutional mandate and within relevant prescripts before, during and after the main address.
