The Minister of Environment, Forestry and Fisheries, Ms Barbara Creecy will visit schools in Gansbaai, Overberg District, Western Cape, on Thursday, 18 February 2021.
Minister Creecy will be visiting three (3) schools, namely, Gansbaai Academia High School, Masakhane Primary School and Gansbaai Primary School with the purpose of assessing the readiness of the schools to resume the 2021 academic year.
Public schools across the country began their 2021 academic year, on Monday 15 February 2021 and the Department of Basic Education has emphasised that the health and safety of teachers, staff and learners remains a top priority.
