High level meeting to resolve distribution of medicines in Limpopo Province
The Minister of Health, Dr Aaron Motsoaledi, together with the Premier of Limpopo, Mr CS Mathabatha, will lead high-level teams to discuss challenges of shortages of medicines in Limpopo, as reported widely in the media last week.
The sole purpose of this meeting is to understand the nature of the problem with regard to the shortages of medicines and find an everlasting solution.
The Minister has requested the Premier that the following people will be in attendance:
- MEC for Health and her team led by the HOD;
- MEC of Finance and the HOD;
- Heads of Pharmaceutical Services, Mr Robert Setshedi and Mr Philip Setsiba;
- Depot Manager, Mr Makena Langa;
- Acting Chief Director of District Support Services, Mr Philip Kruger;
- The Chief Director GITO, Mr Ravuluvulu; and
- All the district pharmacist heads.
