Minister and Deputy Minister of Police to visit the families of the two deceased police officers who died in car crash with the Minister of Public Service and Administration

The Minister of Police, Mr Nathi Nhleko, and his Deputy Minister of Police, Ms Makhotso Magdeline Sotyu, will together, on Wednesday, 18 March 2015, visit the families of the two deceased police officers, Sgt. Lesiba Samuel Sekele and Sgt. Mareme Lawrence Lentsoane, who died in a car crash with Minister Collins Chabane in the early hours of 15 March 2015.

The Ministry of Police is prioritising the health and wellness of active police officers for the Governance Term 2014-2019, and ensuring that maximum efficient support is provided to the families who lost their loved ones in the line of duty. The Ministry of Police acknowledges the importance of looking after the well-being of police officers, as these South African Police Service (SAPS) members always take risks that are very hard for most of the ordinary people to imagine.
