Deputy Minister in The Presidency, Ms Thembi Siweya to unveil the brand-new state-of-the-art studios at Vibe  FM

The Media Development & Diversity Agency (MDDA), led by the Deputy Minister in the Presidency, Ms Thembi Siweya will unveil the brand-new state-of-the-art broadcast studios at Vibe FM, on Saturday ,27  November 2021 in KwaZulu-Natal  Province, South Africa.  

The station was granted a broadcasting licence, in April 2007 to broadcast to the community of KwaMashu and surrounding areas. Furthermore, Vibe FM was licensed by ICASA as part of a group of about 15 identified community radio frequencies in the nodal development point areas throughout the country. These community radio stations were licensed to enhance the government programme, Integrated Sustainable Rural Development Plan (strategy) to ensure that certain areas based in remote rural and urban centres are prioritised for development.

Vibe FM 94.7 is one of the most exciting and rapidly growing township radio stations in KwaZulu-Natal. It has an amazing programme format manages appeals to a wide and diverse audience. The station is based  in KwaMashu in eThekwini Metropolitan Municipality in KwaZulu-Natal and  broadcast in 60% isiZulu and 40% English.

The new state-of the art studios will elevate the quality of broadcasting, making it appealing to potential partners for sustainability which will propel  Vibe FM to even greater heights.

The unveiling of State-of-the-Art Studios is scheduled as follows:
