MEC Sambatha to preside over graduation ceremony of 506 new nurses from North West Nursing College 

A total of 506 new nurses will graduate from the North West Nursing College at a ceremony to be held on Friday, 04 October 2019 at Mmabatho Convention Centre, Mahikeng. The college is tasked with a duty to train and produce nurses for public health facilities in the Province.

The nurses will be graduating in different fields including, comprehensive nursing, midwifery, psychiatric nursing, advanced midwifery and neonatal nursing science, operating theatre and clinical nursing science.

The graduates will be deployed to health facilities in the province which are in need of extra nurses for efficient and prompt health service delivery. The new nurses will do their compulsory community service for a year, which will enable them to register with the South African Nursing Council and continue to serve the people of North West with pride.

Members of the media are invited to attend the ceremony scheduled to start at 09h00.
