KwaZulu-Natal MEC for Finance, Mr Ravi Pillay, will tomorrow (Wednesday the 3rd of June 2020) table the R719 million budget of the Provincial Treasury for the 2020/2021 financial year.
Among other things, the budget will reflect on:
- The economic outlook of the province and the impact Covid-19 has had on the economy
- The impact of Covid-19 on the Provincial Treasury
- Various programmes to be undertaken by the department including those geared towards providing support to municipalities and enhancing internal control environment of departments
Owing to the current Lockdown regulations, the budget will be tabled virtually. Members of the media are invited to watch the tabling of the budget. The stream can be accessed via the following links:
