MEC Lebogang Motlhaping launches Northern Cape Easter Road Safety Campaign, 15 Apr

MEC Motlhaping to Launch the NCape Provincial Easter Road Safety Campaign to enhance awareness efforts.

The Northern Cape MEC for Transport, Safety and Liaison, Mr Lebogang Motlhaping will on Monday, 15 April officially launch the Provincial Easter Road Safety Campaign.

The campaign seeks to heighten road safety awareness and reduce fatalities on our roads.  The Easter period is known for its high traffic volumes on the roads and therefore becomes crucial for Road Safety and Law Enforcement initiatives to be intensified to meet the needs of the period. 

The Department remain committed to the conviction that Road Safety is a 365 Days programme and will continue to encourage all road users to continue to obey the rules of the roads, use the roads soberly and remain visible.

We would also like to appeal to all sectors of society to encourage and maintain safety on the roads as road accident affect us all because one life lost on the roads, is one life too many.  Let us remain our sisters and brother’s keepers and ensure we all use the roads responsibly.
