Limpopo Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (LDARD) MEC Basikopo Makamu will host Agricultural Stakeholders on the plans to increase economic growth and job creation through agricultural development.
The potential areas identified for increasing production include irrigation schemes, land reform farms, red meat cluster, grains and poultry units.
Discussion will revolve underutilised agricultural resources and investment opportunities in agriculture, Land Reform Projects challenges, irrigation schemes and unproductive communal land, exploring potential partnership initiatives and utilisation of blended funding, thus sharing principles for sustainable investment.
There will be representatives from farmer organisations, agro-dealers, Department of Rural Development and Land Affairs, Limpopo Economic Development Agency, Limpopo Department: Economic Development, Environment and Tourism, Agriculture Business Chamber, Bureau for Food and Agriculture Policy (BFAP) and many related stakeholders in the sector.
