MEC Limakatso Mahasa visits Qibing and Matlwangtlwang communities, 27 and 28 Dec

Keeping up with the spirit of Madiba Centenary, MEC Limakatso Mahasa who is responsible for Economic, Small Business Development, Tourism and Environmental Affairs (DESTEA) in the Free State, will visit communities in Qibing and Matlwangtlwang ensuring that

Government programmes make a difference in the lives of people.

MEC accompanied by management from the Department, its entities and its partners will engage communities to promote economic, environmental and other programmes meant to improve local and township economy.

Identified businesses in the two towns will receive productive equipment to help them improve their sustainability. Members of the community will also be advised on consumer behaviour during the festive season and early in the New Year when buying school necessities. The department will also demonstrate e-government platforms like e-complaint and e-permit systems. Some of the activities on the two days will include information sharing, exhibitions, tree planting, cleaning up campaign and presentations.
