MEC Jacob Mamabolo inspects Mamelodi taxi ranks and hospital for Coronavirus COVID-19 regulations compliance, 17 Sept

Gauteng MEC for Public Transport and Roads Infrastructure Jacob Mamabolo will tomorrow, 17 September 2020, visit Denneboom Mall and taxi rank as part of Gauteng government's continuous monitoring of adherence to preventive measures to curb the spread of COVID-19 in public transport.

Mamabolo, in his capacity as Acting MEC for Health, will also conduct support visit at Mamelodi Hospital and hand over Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

These visits also serve to strengthen and further enhance interventions where weaknesses are identified.

The visits form part of the Gauteng Provincial Government’s efforts to ensure that all facilities continue to comply with COVID-19 regulations.

These include ensuring that all facilities are deep cleaned, operators and commuters hands sanitized while all vehicles are disinfected before ferrying passengers.
