The Department of Education is ready to administer the 2018 Grade 12 examinations which commences on 22 October 2018. 96 831 full time and 29 239 part time candidates will be sitting for these examinations at 1669 centers across the province.
The department will tomorrow launch the matric countdown and the signing of the Examination pledge will be conducted by learners on Friday as part of announcing its readiness. The countdown will be marked by the MEC for Education taking a walk from Hwiti Secondary School to Tiro Hall, University of Limpopo with more than 1500 grade 12 learners participating. This is part of drumming support to communities to create a conducive environment for learners to properly study and revise so as to prepare thoroughly for these examinations.
